The dA, a community-rooted cultural arts center in Pomona that connects education, exhibition, exploration, and everyday life, is elated to present works of art from our neighboring MT SAC Students Art Club. The exhibition will feature over 15 art students who represent a wide range of creativity with fresh perspective and forms of expression, dialogue, and connection. These artists are leading the way to bridge the exciting and relevant work that is being produced on the campus to the community in the safe and accessible space at The dA.

Featuring the works of art created by the MT SAC Student Art Club continues the foundation of The dA’s simple but important idea: there should be space for artists and community members to create and share work without being limited by market expectations or gatekeeping. In the early days, the artists who formed The dA were responding to a lack of accessible exhibition space—places where work could be shown without needing a sales record or fitting into a narrow definition of what was considered valuable.

Through accessible programs, public events, and a non-exclusive gallery space, The dA creates opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to nurture and harness creativity, build confidence, and see themselves as part of a larger artistic community. We look forward to supporting the participating artists from the MT SAC Art Club on their creative career journey.
