Hello my name is Xavier Antonio Marrero-English (he/him). I am a composer and multi-instrumentalist from Chino CA. My father was a performing vocalist for many years before I was born, which gave my interest in music ample room to blossom as I studied classical voice through middle and high school. Ive also had the great opportunity to study jazz guitar under Dr. Seth Greenberg for over year. I’ve been very fortunate to have opportunities to score a few short films from independent artist in SoCal as well as graduates from The Dodge College of Film at Chapman University. At the DA I teach guitar, drums, and music production along side my work with the SELPA program, bringing art education to special needs students across PUSD. Ive also taught music theory and performance privately for the last 5 years before coming to the DA in Pomona. As of this year, After much time performing both as an artist and a session musician I am now perusing a formal degree in jazz guitar performance at Mt. San Antonio College.
