Kaelyn Valencia
Violin & Voice
Kaelyn began at The dA Center as a volunteer instructor for the Mini Mariachi ensemble and was later offered a position as a violin instructor for The dA’s Mariachi programs. Kaelyn is a first year full-time student at the University of La Verne pursuing a degree in Biology. Outside of school, Kaelyn dedicates her time to the art of Mariachi music and singing, performing in a Mariachi ensemble and singing in choir. Growing up in Pomona, attending Kellogg Elementary School and Marshall Middle School, Kaelyn has seen the importance of imparting culture to all generations. She believes that the arts allow for youth to express themselves in ways that allow them to think for themselves, explore through imagination, and become the most creative versions of themselves.
