Gabrielle (Gabby) Dorado (she/her/hers) is a multidisciplinary fiber/textile artist based in the Inland Empire and Los Angeles regions. She graduated with her BA in Studio Art from Cal State University of Long Beach back in May of 2024 where she studied many mediums within the arts and found her love for the fiber arts. Gabrielle has been working at the dA Center for the Arts since November 2024 focusing on arts education. Her work has been focused on creating emotions and images from her childhood that can translate through a weaving on a basket or through a collection of fabrics to the deconstruction/reconstruction of multiple plushies. She’s interested in how one can translate memories and emotion through these different materials while implementing the techniques of the fiber arts into an artwork.
