Angel Fernandez
Art Leader • (She/Her)
Angel Fernandez (she/her) is a passionate advocate for social justice who loves using art to help others celebrate their culture and express themselves. Born and raised in Pomona, California, she’s currently studying Sociology, exploring how she can make a positive impact in the lives of others.
At The dA Center for the Arts, Angel works with kids to help them explore their heritage through art-making and thoughtful discussion about art. She loves creating spaces where young artists can see themselves and their stories reflected in their work.
When she’s not at The dA or in class, Angel enjoys capturing the essence of humankind through portrait photography, visiting art galleries, being with her family, and exploring nature. She also loves spending time with cats at the rescue shelter. She’s excited to keep exploring how art can empower people and spark change.
