The Sounds of Pomona: The Golden Era of Music 1955 - 1975 is a celebration of music, musicians, and the vibrant cultural in Pomona during the 1950s - 1970s shared through the collective voices of Pomona residents who wish to give legacy to this history in our community and to build a foundation for present and future generations.

This exhibit is a visual tale of creative, brilliant Chicano/a/x artistic resistance. Jaime Gutierrez only collects Chicana/o/x Art. He does not see his collection as an act of exclusion, but rather an act of inclusion of the marginalized / colonized pan-nativist indigenous people we rebelliously call Chicanx/a/o.
