Holiday Artisan Boutique

The dA Center for the Arts is proud to celebrate the holidays with our annual Holiday Artisan Boutique. Local artists and artisans will be selling their art including paintings, clothing, ceramics, jewelry, photography, furniture, fiber art, and more!


Artisans of Musical Design
Saturday, December 10, 2011, 12-10pm
On display in the Joan Weldon Gallery, Artisans of Musical Design is an exhibition of musicians who make their own instruments. Recognizing the tradition of artisan handcrafted instruments this exhibit will display the work of Martin Maudal, Rufie Barnes, Michael Kotzen, Simon Hill and Jason Farthing and others. The evening will also include performances by several of the artists.


Artlink Holiday Celebration
Sunday, December 18, 2011 1-4pm
Join us for an afternoon celebrating the holiday season.  Elementary students who have participated in the dA’s Artlink after school program within Pomona Unified School District (PUSD) will perform and display artwork.  Stop by and enjoy a holiday treat while witnessing the creative wonders of Pomona’s youth.


Harvest Festival Original Art & Craft Show
Friday through Sunday, December 2-4, 2011
The annual Harvest Festival, located at the Pomona Fairplex, features hundreds of artisans exhibiting American handmade items including jewelry, clothing, specialty foods, photography, original art, hand-turned wood, music, ceramics and much more. Enjoy three fun-packed days of shopping, stage and strolling entertainment, and festival food.

The dA hosts the Kids Zone area where youngsters can tap into their creative talents with hands-on holiday arts & crafts fun. The multi-discipline, non-profit organization seeks to educate the community and provide opportunities to experience and appreciate the arts.

The Pomona Chalk Art Festival
Saturday, December 3rd, 2011, 8:00am to 3:00pm
Professional artists and youth will participate in a chalk art competition. Themes for the art will include "The Maltese Falcon" as part of the Pomona Big Read. Prizes will be awarded for best of theme, most creative and most realistic.  Located at Thomas Plaza, Corner of 2nd and Thomas Streets, Pomona.
